Responsibilities
- Manage comprehensive veteran benefit applications and claims processing with 95% accuracy
- Coordinate healthcare services and mental health support for veteran patients
- Conduct eligibility assessments for VA healthcare programs and disability benefits
- Develop individualized care plans addressing veterans' physical, mental, and social needs
- Collaborate with community organizations to expand veteran support services
- Maintain detailed case records in VA electronic health record systems
- Provide crisis intervention and support services for veterans in distress
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in veteran services, healthcare coordination, or federal benefits
- Proficiency with VA VISTA and CPRS electronic health record systems
- Valid Louisiana driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
- Certification in Veteran Service Officers (VSO) or equivalent preferred
- Strong knowledge of VA benefits programs and healthcare regulations
- Experience with crisis intervention and trauma-informed care
