Responsibilities
- Process and adjudicate veteran benefit claims with 100% accuracy
- Manage complex caseloads involving PTSD, disability, and education benefits
- Coordinate with VA medical centers for integrated healthcare services
- Conduct outreach programs to connect veterans with available resources
- Maintain compliance with federal regulations and VA policies
- Prepare detailed reports on claim outcomes and veteran satisfaction metrics
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Social Work, or related field
- 2+ years experience in veteran services or federal benefits administration
- Proficiency with VA systems (VBMS, VBA) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid NYS driver's license and ability to travel to VA facilities
- Clear background investigation and favorable security clearance
- Knowledge of PL 115-422 (Forever GI Bill) and 38 CFR regulations
