Responsibilities
- Manage veteran benefit applications and claims processing with 95% accuracy
- Conduct eligibility assessments for VA healthcare, education, and disability benefits
- Coordinate with medical, legal, and community partners to resolve complex cases
- Maintain detailed case records in VA systems while ensuring HIPAA compliance
- Provide direct support to veterans and families during benefit transitions
- Analyze trends in veteran needs to improve service delivery
- Train staff on updated VA regulations and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Social Work, or related field
- 3+ years experience in benefits administration or veteran services
- Proficiency with VA systems (VBMS, VBA) and Microsoft Office
- VA certification within 6 months of hire (training provided)
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and empathy
- Strong problem-solving skills for complex benefit scenarios
- U.S. citizenship and clean background check
- Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish or ASL
