Responsibilities
- Process and adjudicate veterans' disability claims with 95% accuracy
- Conduct comprehensive benefits counseling for veterans and families
- Collaborate with medical professionals to develop compensation reports
- Maintain strict compliance with 38 CFR and VA regulations
- Utilize VA systems (VBMS, VBA) for case management
- Provide exceptional customer service during high-pressure situations
- Train junior staff on VA policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Social Work, or related field
- 3+ years of federal benefits administration experience
- Active VA Form 10-2850c (Application for Associated Health Care Positions)
- Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and VA software systems
- Knowledge of veterans' service organizations (VSOs)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
