Responsibilities
- Process and verify veterans' benefit applications with meticulous attention to detail
- Provide accurate information on federal healthcare, education, and disability programs
- Maintain confidential records using VA-specific software systems
- Coordinate with regional VA offices to resolve benefit inquiries
- Ass veterans with documentation requirements and claim submissions
- Conduct eligibility screenings for federal assistance programs
- Prepare correspondence and reports on benefit processing outcomes
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Minimum 1 year administrative or customer service experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database systems
- Strong communication skills with ability to explain complex policies
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
- U.S. citizenship required
- Basic knowledge of veterans' benefits systems (training provided)
- Ability to work 20-25 hours per week with flexible scheduling
