- Manage and maintain electronic health record systems (EHR) for 5,000+ veteran patients
- Implement and audit security protocols for protected health information (PHI)
- Train clinical staff on health information management best practices
- Coordinate data migration projects across multiple VA facilities
- Ensure compliance with federal healthcare regulations (HIPAA, HITECH)
- Generate analytics reports for healthcare quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field
- 3+ years experience with EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, or VA VistA)
- RHIA or RHIT certification required
- Proficiency in healthcare data analytics tools
- Active federal background clearance eligibility
- Experience with HIPAA compliance auditing
