Responsibilities
- Oversee implementation and optimization of electronic health record systems (VA VISTA/CPRS)
- Develop cybersecurity frameworks to protect sensitive veteran health data
- Lead cross-functional teams in health IT process improvement initiatives
- Ensure HIPAA and federal compliance across all health information systems
- Train clinical staff on new health technology solutions and best practices
- Manage vendor relationships and technology procurement processes
- Analyze system performance metrics to identify optimization opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with electronic health record systems (EHR)
- VA VISTA/CPRS certification required
- ITIL Foundation certification preferred
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Demonstrated project management experience in healthcare IT
- Proficiency in health data analytics tools and methodologies
- Strong understanding of HIPAA and federal healthcare regulations
