Responsibilities
- Process and adjudicate veterans' disability compensation claims with 95% accuracy
- Provide in-person and virtual support for veterans navigating VA healthcare systems
- Conduct eligibility screenings for VA housing and employment programs
- Collaborate with community partners to connect veterans with local resources
- Maintain strict compliance with federal regulations and privacy laws
- Generate detailed case reports and documentation for federal audits
- Train new hires on VA systems and veteran-centric protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in social work, public administration, or related field
- Minimum 2 years experience in veteran services or federal case management
- Proficiency in VA VBA and VHA systems
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to pass federal background check
- Certification in Veteran Service Officer (VSO) preferred
- Ability to work under tight deadlines with competing priorities
- Knowledge of California-specific veteran resources
- Spanish bilingual capability highly desirable
