Responsibilities
- Process and adjudicate veterans' benefit claims with precision and compassion
- Conduct thorough interviews to gather supporting documentation
- Provide expert guidance on complex federal regulations (38 CFR)
- Collaborate with medical professionals for disability evaluations
- Maintain accurate case records in Veterans Benefits Management System (VBMS)
- Represent VA at community outreach events
- Train and mentor junior representatives on best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field or 1 year specialized experience
- Proficiency in claims processing systems (VBMS, VBA-Net)
- Expert knowledge of Title 38 Code of Federal Regulations
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- U.S. citizenship required
