Responsibilities
- Process and adjudicate veterans' compensation and pension claims with precision and compassion
- Provide comprehensive benefits counseling to veterans and their families
- Represent veterans in appeals and hearings before the Board of Veterans' Appeals
- Collaborate with medical professionals to develop compelling evidence for claims
- Maintain accurate case records and documentation in VA systems
- Conduct outreach to underserved veteran communities
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Knowledge of federal veterans' benefits programs and regulations
- Experience in claims processing or customer service with complex cases
- Ability to interpret medical and legal documentation
- Strong communication skills for veteran interactions
- Proficiency in VA claims processing systems (VBMS, VBA)
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
