Responsibilities
- Process and adjudicate veterans' benefits claims for compensation, pension, and education benefits
- Conduct comprehensive interviews with veterans and their families to gather supporting evidence
- Review medical and service records to determine eligibility for VA benefits
- Provide clear guidance on VA policies, procedures, and benefit programs
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with federal regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, legal representatives, and other stakeholders
- Represent VA at community outreach events to educate veterans on available benefits
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 2 years of customer service or case management experience
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
- Strong analytical skills for complex case review and decision-making
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management systems
- Ability to pass a background investigation and obtain security clearance
- Knowledge of military service structures and VA regulations preferred
