Responsibilities
- Process and adjudicate complex VA benefits claims with 98% accuracy
- Conduct comprehensive interviews to gather veteran service history and medical evidence
- Interpret and apply federal regulations (38 CFR) to determine eligibility
- Develop personalized compensation plans for disabled veterans
- Collaborate with medical professionals to assess service-connected disabilities
- Maintain detailed case documentation in VA systems (VBMS, VBA)
- Provide crisis intervention for urgent veteran benefit matters
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Minimum 3 years experience in veterans' benefits or federal claims processing
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software
- VA Form 10-2850c and SF-50 documentation required
- Valid Louisiana driver's license
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
- Knowledge of 38 CFR Part 3 and 4
- Experience with veterans' medical documentation review
