Responsibilities
- Process and adjudicate complex veteran benefit claims with 99% accuracy
- Provide expert guidance on VA healthcare, education, and disability compensation programs
- Conduct thorough medical record reviews and benefit eligibility assessments
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and veteran families to resolve benefit issues
- Maintain meticulous documentation in VA's electronic claims processing system
- Train and mentor junior representatives on VA regulations and procedures
- Participate in community outreach events to educate veterans on available benefits
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, or related field
- 3+ years experience in veteran services or healthcare claims processing
- VA Form 10-2850c (Application for Associated Health Occupations) submission required
- Proficiency in VA's VBMS (Veterans Benefits Management System)
- Active security clearance eligibility
- Knowledge of 38 CFR (Code of Federal Regulations) Part 3
- Exceptional communication skills in English and Spanish preferred
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends
