Responsibilities
- Process and adjudicate veterans' benefit claims with precision and empathy
- Conduct virtual and in-person interviews to gather necessary documentation
- Provide clear guidance on VA programs, eligibility, and application processes
- Maintain accurate records in the Veterans Benefits Management System (VBMS)
- Collaborate with healthcare and legal teams to resolve complex cases
- Respond to inquiries via secure messaging, phone, and email within service standards
- Participate in continuous training on policy updates and system enhancements
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (mandatory for federal employment)
- Ability to work Saturdays and Sundays (8 AM - 4:30 PM) with holiday coverage
- Background investigation and security clearance clearance required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management systems
- Experience in customer service or benefits administration preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
- Valid Texas driver's license (if field visits required)
