Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility protocols 24/7 during weekend shifts
- Conduct security inspections and headcounts to maintain institutional safety
- Respond to emergencies and incidents with de-escalation techniques
- Document all incidents and maintain accurate security records
- Escort inmates within facility and during transfers
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during critical incidents
- Participate in mandatory safety drills and training exercises
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid New Mexico driver's license
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Basic First Aid/CPR certification preferred
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Physical ability to perform security duties including restraint procedures
