Responsibilities
- Monitor and supervise inmate populations within secure correctional facilities
- Conduct regular security inspections and headcounts to maintain safety protocols
- Respond to incidents and emergencies following established procedures
- Document daily activities and incident reports with precision
- Enforce facility rules and regulations consistently
- Transport inmates safely between facilities as required
- Collaborate with law enforcement and medical staff during critical situations
- Maintain accurate logs and compliance records
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Nevada Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification preferred
- Pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Valid Nevada driver's license required
- Ability to work weekends and holidays without exception
- Physical fitness to meet correctional facility requirements
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
