Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce institutional rules throughout weekend shifts
- Conduct regular security inspections and headcounts to maintain accountability
- Respond to emergencies, incidents, and medical situations with calm professionalism
- Document all incidents and maintain accurate shift reports
- Collaborate with healthcare, counseling, and rehabilitation teams
- Operate security systems including CCTV, access controls, and perimeter patrols
- Participate in continuous training and certification programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Valid Missouri driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass background check, physical fitness test, and psychological evaluation
- Strong conflict resolution skills and crisis management abilities
- Ability to work rotating weekends, holidays, and overtime as required
- Basic computer proficiency for reporting systems
- Missouri Peace Officer certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- First Aid/CPR certification (training provided)
