Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations with professionalism
- Conduct regular security checks and perimeter patrols
- Process inmate admissions, releases, and transfers accurately
- Respond to emergencies and medical incidents promptly
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain documentation
- Operate security systems including CCTV and control room equipment
- Coordinate with law enforcement and medical teams during critical situations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- US citizenship and valid Ohio driver's license
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to work 12-hour weekend shifts (Fri-Sun)
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing
- Physical stamina to stand/walk for extended periods
- Ability to obtain Ohio Peace Officer certification within 6 months
