Responsibilities
- Provide advanced Tier 2 technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues during weekend shifts.
- Manage and maintain computer workstations, printers, and peripheral equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Respond to and resolve IT service requests and helpdesk tickets in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform server maintenance, system updates, and data backups to guarantee system security and reliability.
- Collaborate with the week-day support team to document technical issues and implement preventative measures.
- Assist in the installation and configuration of new hardware and software applications for government users.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in IT Help Desk, Technical Support, or a related field.
- An Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Experience with troubleshooting network connectivity, firewalls, and hardware peripherals.
- Ability to work independently and effectively during non-standard hours, including Saturdays and Sundays.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+ are highly desirable.
