Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues across state agencies.
- Manage and maintain servers, workstations, and peripherals during off-hours to ensure system availability.
- Respond to and resolve IT service tickets and user support requests received via the help desk system.
- Perform system backups, patch management, and security updates outside of regular business hours.
- Collaborate with the 24/7 operations team to coordinate urgent technical issues.
- Document all technical issues and resolutions in the CMDB (Configuration Management Database).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Certification such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Certified Professional is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or systems administration.
- Proven ability to work independently and effectively during weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical documentation and user guidance.
