  • Provide Tier 2 technical support and troubleshooting for state employees via the IT Service Desk ticketing system.
  • Perform routine hardware installation, configuration, and maintenance of workstations, laptops, and peripherals during off-hours.
  • Monitor and maintain server health and network infrastructure to ensure 24/7 availability of state services.
  • Deploy security patches and software updates to minimize risk during non-peak hours.
  • Respond to and resolve emergency IT incidents that arise during weekend operational hours.
  • Collaborate with the central IT team to ensure seamless handover of support duties at the end of the shift.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all support tickets and technical resolutions.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in IT support, help desk, or technical operations.
  • CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification is strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office 365 suite.
  • Strong understanding of Active Directory concepts and basic networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS).
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and communicate clearly with non-technical staff.
  • Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday) on a recurring basis.
