Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service to patrons, including circulation support, reference assistance, and technology guidance
- Manage weekend operations including opening/closing procedures and security protocols
- Organize and maintain collections through shelving, inventory, and preservation tasks
- Coordinate weekend programming events including workshops, storytimes, and community outreach
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless weekend service delivery
- Implement digital literacy initiatives and assist patrons with library technology resources
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Library Science, Education, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2 years library services or customer service experience
- Strong proficiency with integrated library systems (ILS) and digital resources
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with diverse populations
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
- Valid Maryland driver's license and reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work rotating weekend schedules including holidays
