Responsibilities
- Retrieve, file, and maintain physical and digital government records with the highest level of accuracy.
- Process incoming mail, faxes, and inter-office communications promptly and efficiently.
- Assist visitors and staff members with inquiries regarding municipal codes, permits, and case files.
- Perform data entry tasks into secure government databases and verify information for completeness.
- Operate office equipment, including scanners, printers, and multi-line telephones.
- Ensure the weekend workspace is organized, clean, and compliant with departmental safety standards.
- Support the Records Supervisor with special projects and ad-hoc administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in an administrative or records management role is preferred but not required.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive government data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be available to work rotating weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays as required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
