Responsibilities
- Plan and execute weekend recreational programs for diverse age groups at city facilities
- Supervise activity areas, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and accessibility standards
- Manage facility operations including equipment inventory, maintenance requests, and cleanliness
- Register participants, collect fees, and maintain accurate program documentation
- Respond to resident inquiries with professionalism and provide exceptional customer service
- Coordinate with park rangers and emergency services for incident response
- Conduct regular inspections of recreational equipment and play areas
- Assist with special weekend events and community outreach initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in recreation, education, or related field preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in recreational program coordination or customer service role
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work weekends and occasional holidays with flexible availability
- Proficiency with registration software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong conflict resolution and crisis management skills
- Fluency in English and Spanish highly desirable
