Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and maintain facility security during weekend shifts
- Conduct routine inspections and enforce institutional policies
- Respond to emergencies and incidents with de-escalation techniques
- Prepare detailed incident and shift reports
- Escort inmates within the facility and during transport
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and department regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid New Mexico Driver's License
- Ability to pass background check and physical fitness assessment
- Basic computer literacy and report writing skills
- Must be 21 years or older
- Previous security or law enforcement experience preferred
- Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays
- Strong communication and conflict resolution abilities
