Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care to patients including assistance with mobility, hygiene, and feeding
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to clinical staff
- Assist in maintaining patient environments ensuring safety and cleanliness
- Support nurses during procedures and treatments as directed
- Administer basic medications under supervision following protocols
- Document patient observations accurately and confidentially
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
- Previous healthcare assistant experience preferred
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Right to work in the UK with valid documentation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding principles
- Physical stamina to handle patient transfers and mobility assistance
