Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned areas to deter crime and ensure public safety during weekend hours
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide first aid/crisis intervention
- Enforce municipal ordinances and traffic regulations in high-traffic weekend zones
- Document incidents and prepare detailed activity reports
- Collaborate with other city departments during special weekend events
- Conduct community outreach and educational initiatives
- Maintain equipment readiness and follow safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid California Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification
- Minimum 2 years law enforcement or public safety experience
- Availability for all weekend shifts (Sat/Sun) with rotating holidays
- Valid California Class C driver's license with clean record
- CPR/First Aid certification within 6 months of hire
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure situations
- Proficient in digital reporting systems and radio communication
- Spanish bilingual certification preferred
