Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations to ensure safety
- Conduct regular security checks and perimeter patrols
- Process inmates during intake and release procedures
- Respond to emergencies and incidents with de-escalation techniques
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with law enforcement and medical staff during emergencies
- Operate security systems and control room equipment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- T Peace Officer License (TCLEOSE) certification preferred
- Ability to pass background check and physical fitness assessment
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Ability to work weekends and holidays on a fixed schedule
- Basic computer proficiency for reporting systems
- First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
