Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance, patch management, and server monitoring during weekend hours to ensure system uptime.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues affecting government operations.
- Security Compliance: Enforce state and federal security protocols, ensuring data integrity and protecting sensitive citizen information.
- System Updates: Deploy critical software updates and configuration changes to improve system performance and security.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed technical logs and incident reports to track system health and resolutions.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with on-call staff during business hours to transition issues and ensure seamless handoffs.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in systems administration or IT support within a government or enterprise environment.
- Availability: Must be available to work a rotating weekend schedule (e.g., Friday to Sunday or Saturday to Monday).
- Certifications: CompTIA Server+ or Network+ certification is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux administration, and network troubleshooting protocols.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting technical status to stakeholders.
