Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on luggage, and cargo using advanced X-ray and detection equipment
- Conduct thorough physical pat-downs and baggage inspections to detect prohibited items
- Maintain strict compliance with TSA security protocols and SOPs
- Provide excellent customer service to travelers while enforcing security regulations
- Document security incidents and submit detailed reports
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security breaches
- Operate metal detectors, trace detection systems, and explosive detection devices
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Valid state driver's license and ability to obtain federal security clearance
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Pass background check, drug screening, and medical assessment
- Proficient in English (reading/writing/speaking)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- No felony convictions or recent drug-related offenses
