Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing 5-10 year innovation roadmaps for AI, quantum computing, and biotechnology convergence
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies and market shifts affecting 2026+ landscapes
- Design and implement futures-thinking frameworks for organizational decision-making
- Forge strategic partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and government innovation labs
- Present executive briefings on emerging risks and opportunities in exponential technology domains
- Oversee the creation of '2026 Scenario Playbooks' for business continuity and competitive advantage
- Mentor a team of futurists and innovation specialists in advanced foresight methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, futures research, or technology foresight with Fortune 500 experience
- Proven track record of developing long-term strategic plans with measurable impact
- Deep expertise in at least two exponential technology domains (AI/ML, quantum, biotech, etc.)
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or relevant technical field
- Certification in foresight methodologies (e.g., CFS, Horizon Scanning)
- Exceptional communication skills translating complex concepts for executive audiences
- Experience with scenario planning and war gaming methodologies
- Portfolio demonstrating successful 5+ year innovation strategy implementation
