Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year strategic vision for emerging technologies including AGI, neuromorphic computing, and climate-positive innovations
- Lead cross-functional 'Horizon Scanning' initiatives identifying breakthrough opportunities in Web4.0 and decentralized systems
- Partner with Product Engineering to translate future roadmaps into MVP development sprints
- Present quarterly futures briefings to investors and board members with data-driven trend analysis
- Manage $5M annual innovation fund allocation to high-impact R&D projects
- Build and lead global network of academic/industry futurist collaborators
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation or emerging tech leadership with Fortune 500 or unicorn-scale experience
- Proven track record of launching future-focused products/services (2018-2023)
- Expertise in at least three of: quantum algorithms, synthetic biology, AGI ethics, or climate tech
- Published thought leadership in top-tier journals (Nature, MIT Tech Review) or equivalent industry recognition
- Advanced degree in relevant field (PhD/MSc preferred) with interdisciplinary background
- Fluency in future modeling methodologies (Delphi, scenario planning, causal inference)
- Exceptional communication skills translating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
