Responsibilities
- Architect 5-year strategic roadmaps for emerging technology domains (quantum, synthetic biology, AR/VR)
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives spanning AI, sustainability, and human augmentation
- Conduct horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify disruptive opportunities
- Develop patentable frameworks for next-generation human-machine interfaces
- Partner with venture capital arms to incubate spin-off technologies
- Present strategic blueprints to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Manage $2M+ innovation budgets with ROI-focused resource allocation
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent in Physics, AI, Bioengineering, or Futurist Studies
- 10+ years in strategic innovation with Fortune 500 or unicorn startups
- Published research in Nature/Science journals or equivalent impact
- Proven track record of scaling tech from lab to market
- Expertise in scenario planning and exponential technologies
- Strong network with academic and industry thought leaders
- Fluency in at least two programming languages (Python, Rust, etc.)
