Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech trends (quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech convergence) to identify disruptive opportunities
- Develop 5-year strategic technology roadmaps aligned with market forecasts and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional workshops to align technical vision with product development priorities
- Conduct competitive analysis and scenario planning for next-gen technological disruptions
- Present future-focused recommendations to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Maintain relationships with academic institutions and research labs for early trend detection
- Author thought leadership pieces on technology's societal impact in 2026+
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D, or emerging tech roles
- Proven track record of anticipating and capitalizing on market disruptions
- Expertise in at least two future-tech domains (e.g., AI, quantum, AR/VR, synthetic biology)
- Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision-making capabilities
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Experience with scenario planning and strategic foresight methodologies
- Portfolio demonstrating past successful tech innovation initiatives
