Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon-scanning research to identify emerging technologies with 2026 commercial viability
- Develop and maintain 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype next-gen solutions
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Establish partnerships with quantum computing and AI research institutions
- Monitor geopolitical and regulatory shifts affecting tech adoption timelines
- Mentor junior futurists and build an internal innovation culture
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Technology, Engineering, or Futurism; PhD preferred
- 10+ years in strategic tech planning or innovation leadership
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AGI ethics, neurotech, or climate tech
- Proven track record of launching technology initiatives with $10M+ budgets
- Exceptional systems thinking and scenario modeling capabilities
- Published thought leadership in technology forecasting or peer-reviewed journals
- Experience working with Fortune 500 executive teams
