Responsibilities
- Manage departmental correspondence, records, and filing systems
- Coordinate internal communications and scheduling for 5+ team members
- Process financial transactions and maintain budget tracking spreadsheets
- Assist constituents with inquiries via phone, email, and in-person
- Support event planning and logistics for public meetings
- Prepare routine reports and data compilation using MS Office Suite
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments on special projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to pass standard federal background check
- Valid Maryland driver's license (or obtain within 30 days)
- U.S. citizenship or legal permanent residency
- Basic knowledge of public sector procedures preferred
