Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain official city records, files, and databases with strict adherence to confidentiality standards.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to department heads and elected officials, including scheduling and correspondence.
- Prepare, proofread, and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and official reports.
- Handle incoming inquiries via phone, email, and in person with a focus on exceptional customer service.
- Assist in the coordination of city events, public outreach programs, and inter-departmental communications.
- Perform data entry, generate reports using government software, and maintain accurate inventory logs.
- Facilitate the processing of permits and applications where applicable.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative or government office setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact with diverse populations.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal government regulations is a plus.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
