Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily processing of state contracts, invoices, and requisitions to ensure accuracy and timely payment.
- Manage high-volume data entry and record-keeping for state departmental operations.
- Coordinate with internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies and logistical issues.
- Maintain and organize physical and digital filing systems in strict compliance with state audit requirements.
- Prepare comprehensive reports for senior management regarding operational efficiency and expenditures.
- Assist in the onboarding and training of new administrative staff members.
- Respond to inquiries from internal stakeholders and external vendors in a professional and timely manner.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a government or corporate setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with state-specific ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to audit data and identify errors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Must be willing to undergo a thorough background check and drug screening as required by state policy.
