Responsibilities
- Design and operationalize AI ethics governance frameworks aligned with evolving regulations (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF)
- Conduct risk assessments for AI deployments using bias detection tools and impact analysis methodologies
- Develop enterprise-wide AI ethics policies and compliance protocols
- Lead cross-functional ethics committees with engineers, product managers, and legal teams
- Perform algorithmic audits and bias mitigation for ML models
- Create stakeholder education programs on responsible AI practices
- Monitor emerging ethical standards and regulatory landscapes
- Report on AI system transparency and fairness metrics to executive leadership
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Ethics, Law, Public Policy, or related field
- 5+ years experience in AI governance, compliance, or tech ethics roles
- Deep understanding of global AI regulations (GDPR, EU AI Act, state-level laws)
- Proficiency in bias auditing tools (IBM AI Fairness 360, Google What-If Tool)
- Certification in AI ethics (e.g., IEEE Ethically Aligned Design, Google Responsible AI)
- Experience developing organizational ethics policies and training programs
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Published work or speaking engagements on AI ethics topics preferred
