Responsibilities
- Conduct surveillance and patrols along designated border areas to detect illegal crossings
- Apprehend individuals attempting to enter the country unlawfully
- Process and transport detainees according to federal regulations
- Collect and preserve evidence for criminal investigations
- Operate specialized vehicles and surveillance equipment
- Collaborate with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies
- Maintain detailed activity reports and documentation
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate government vehicles
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Pass background investigation and medical examination
- Physical fitness to meet operational demands (including running, hiking, and lifting)
- Basic proficiency in Spanish (written and spoken)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
