Responsibilities
- Inspect travelers and cargo at ports of entry to enforce customs and immigration laws
- Conduct interviews and examinations to detect prohibited items and ensure compliance
- Utilize advanced surveillance technology and detection equipment
- Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with federal agencies including ICE and TSA
- Respond to emergency situations and security threats
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid driver's license
- Ability to pass rigorous background investigation and polygraph
- Proficiency in English and Spanish (bilingual preferred)
- Minimum 3 years law enforcement or military experience
- Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required
- Physical fitness to meet CBP standards
- Successful completion of CBP training academy
