Responsibilities
- Deliver Mail: Sort and deliver mail to residential and business customers along an established route on time and in order.
- Customer Interaction: Provide professional customer service and handle mail with care and confidentiality.
- Physical Duties: Perform heavy lifting (up to 70 lbs), walking, and standing for extended periods, regardless of weather conditions.
- Vehicle Operation: Safely operate a letter carrier vehicle (PSE) for the route.
- Package Handling: Sort and manage packages and mailpieces efficiently.
- Route Management: Ensure accurate accounting of mail and adherence to postal regulations.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a United States citizen.
- Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid state driver's license (Class C).
- Age Requirement: At least 18 years of age.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift, carry, and push packages weighing up to 70 lbs on a regular basis.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
