Responsibilities
- Sort and Process Mail: Efficiently organize and distribute incoming mail and packages at the Post Office facility.
- Deliver Mail: Navigate assigned routes to deliver mail to residential and business customers on time and in good condition.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, answer inquiries, and handle complaints with a positive attitude.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine safety checks and minor maintenance on the assigned vehicle.
- Physical Demands: Lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs and walk or drive for extended periods in all weather conditions.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen or have permanent resident status.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license (Class A or B) is preferred; training provided for non-drivers.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal history background check and drug screening.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including lifting and carrying.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to read maps and street directories.
