Responsibilities
- Mail Delivery: Safely and accurately deliver mail to residential and business customers along an assigned route.
- Mail Processing: Sort and bundle mail in the Post Office or on the truck before the delivery run.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, answer questions, and collect fees for non-machineable letters.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine checks on the delivery vehicle and report any mechanical issues.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict safety regulations, including wearing the required uniform and safety gear.
Qualifications
- Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Residency: Must be a U.S. citizen or have permanent resident status.
- Driver's License: Must possess a valid state driver's license and a good driving record.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs and walk for long distances.
- Availability: Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
