Responsibilities
- Deliver Mail: Transport and deliver mail and packages to residences and businesses along a specific route in a safe, timely, and accurate manner.
- Vehicle Operation: Operate a USPS vehicle (van or truck) to transport mail, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, answer questions, and handle any special delivery instructions or complaints.
- Mail Sorting: Sort and organize mail before the start of the delivery route to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Safety & Security: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including the proper handling of sensitive materials and security of the vehicle.
- Route Management: Manage your assigned route efficiently, including walking or driving to all scheduled stops daily.
Qualifications
- Eligibility: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or have permanent resident status.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Physical Requirements: Must pass a medical examination to demonstrate the physical ability to perform the duties of the job (walking, lifting packages, etc.).
- License: A valid driver's license is required.
