As a City Carrier, you will be the face of the USPS, ensuring that our customers' mail and packages are delivered safely and on time. We pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence and our dedicated workforce.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Mail: Transport and deliver mail and packages along an established route to residential and business customers.
- Sort and Organize: Pre-sort mail in the delivery vehicle or station before beginning the route to ensure efficiency.
- Customer Interaction: Interact professionally with customers, answer questions, and resolve service issues with a friendly demeanor.
- Physical Stamina: Perform manual tasks such as lifting heavy parcels, bending, and walking long distances in all weather conditions.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all USPS safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized vehicle at all times.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- License: Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record (Manual transmission experience is highly preferred).
- Background: Ability to pass a criminal background check and a drug screen.
- Fitness: Physical ability to lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs and walk for extended periods.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
