Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain official municipal records, ordinances, resolutions, and meeting minutes
- Oversee city elections, voter registration, and ballot preparation processes
- Provide legislative support to City Council including agenda preparation and record verification
- Administer public records requests and ensure compliance with open records laws
- Manage the city's seal, contracts, and official documentation
- Coordinate with county and state election authorities for compliance
- Supplement records management staff and implement retention policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in municipal government or records management
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation strongly preferred
- Expert knowledge of Colorado election laws and open records statutes
- Advanced proficiency in document management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written/verbal communication and public interaction abilities
