Responsibilities
- Prepare and distribute official agendas, ordinances, resolutions, and meeting minutes for the City Council and various boards.
- Manage and maintain the official city records, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with public records laws.
- Act as the primary liaison for the public, answering inquiries regarding city policies, procedures, and meeting schedules.
- Oversee the processing of business licenses, permits, and various municipal filings.
- Coordinate logistics for council meetings, including room setups, technology support, and catering arrangements.
- Assist in the preparation of reports for the Mayor and City Manager as required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Associate’s degree in Public Administration, Business, or Paralegal studies is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an administrative, clerical, or records management role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database management software.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Oklahoma public meeting laws and record-keeping regulations is a plus.
