Responsibilities
- Manage and preserve all official city records, ordinances, and meeting minutes
- Administer municipal elections with strict adherence to state and federal laws
- Oversee public records requests and ensure compliance with open records statutes
- Provide legislative support to Metro Council members and committees
- Manage city seal usage and official document authentication
- Coordinate public hearings and community engagement initiatives
- Supervise records management systems and digital archives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years municipal government or public sector experience
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Expertise in Kentucky Revised Statutes (KRS) Chapter 61A & 83A
- Advanced proficiency in records management software (e.g., Laserfiche)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage sensitive information with discretion
- Experience with election administration and voting systems
