Responsibilities
- Maintain and certify official city records, ordinances, resolutions, and meeting minutes
- Manage municipal elections, voter registration, and ballot preparation processes
- Oversee public records requests and ensure compliance with Oregon public records laws
- Administer oaths of office and serve as the official custodian of the city seal
- Coordinate with City Council on agenda preparation and legislative tracking
- Lead records management systems and digitization initiatives
- Advise on municipal code compliance and legislative procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of municipal government or records management experience
- Certification as a Municipal Clerk (MMC) or Certified Public Records Administrator (CPRA)
- Expertise in Oregon public records laws (ORS 192) and election procedures
- Proficiency with records management software (e.g., Laserfiche, DocuWare)
- Exceptional written/verbal communication and public presentation skills
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with competing priorities
